Lamb Burger in a Pita

Ingredients

Lamb Burger in a Pita

  • 1 1/2 pounds lamb burger
  • 1 teaspoon cumin ground
  • 2 cloves garlic, grated
  • 1 small white onion, grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 bamboo skewers soaked in cool water for 1 hour

Toppings:

  • 1 cup tatziki
  • 1/4 cup mint
  • 1/2 cup tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, sliced
  • 1 cup mirco greens
  • pita pockets

Directions

Lamb Burger in a Pita

  1. Preheat grill to medium heat.
  2. Combine lamb, cumin, garlic, onion, parsley and pepper and mix well.
  3. Oil grill. Form lamb into silver dollar sized balls and place on soaked skewers. Drizzle with oil and season with salt and pepper. Place on grill and cook for 5 minutes per side or until light in pink inside and crispy and golden on the outside.
  4. Warm pitas on grill by wrapping in foil and placing on the bun warming rack.. Remove lamb from skews and place in pockets garnish with various toppings.
