Meatballs are one of the most famous Chinese food, thry feature crispy crust and meaty tasty. If you are in the mood to make meatballs at home, why don't try those simple but unique meatballs?
Tomato Sauce with Meatballs Stew Recipe
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Utensils:
Pot, wok, bowl.
Serves 2
Ingredients:
400 g / 14 oz. pork, chopped fine
2 tomatoes, peeled, cut into small cubes
2 tbsps. minced ginger
2 tbsps. chopped scallion
2 egg white
1 tbsp. chicken essence
1 tbsp. sesame oil
1 tbsp. rice wine, or dry sherry
1 tbsp. ground black pepper
2 tbsps. ketchup
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. salt, or to taste
2 tbsps. vegetable oil for stir-frying
Directions:
1. Put pork into a bowl, combine with chopped scallion, minced ginger, salt, chicken essence, rice wine, sesame oil, ground black pepper, egg white, and cornstarch, stir clockwise for about 3-5 minutes.
2. Form the mixture into small meatballs, set on a plate (P1)

3. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add meatballs and cook over high heat, until they float on the surface, then drain well and set on a plate (P2).

4. Heat 2 tbsps. vegetable oil in a wok until hot, add tomato cubes, and stir fry over medium high heat, add 2 tbsps. ketchup, keep stirring.
5. Pour into 1 cup warm water, put meatballs back, then bring to a boil, reduce to simmer for another 10-20 minutes before done.
6. Remove to a bowl and serve.
